Your Gift Provides Care, Therapy, and Opportunities
for Over 600 Residents Beyond State Funding
Ready to take action?
You can support Misericordia Home through online, mail, phone, corporate, employee, matching, planned, or endowment donations, all exclusively benefiting its residents.
Donations from an IRA, Charitable Gift Fund or Stock Portfolio
If you are 70½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA is a simple way to support Misericordia while reducing taxable income. You may also choose to fund a charitable gift annuity with an IRA rollover, providing you fixed lifetime payments and a charitable deduction. Other options include giving through a donor-advised fund or by transferring appreciated assets such as stocks. Each of these planned giving opportunities allows you to make a lasting impact on Misericordia while meeting your financial goals.
Endowments
Gifts to Misericordia’s Endowment help secure our future by providing stable, long-term funding. Donors can choose from several endowment options, many of which include naming opportunities to honor or memorialize a loved one. Contributions may be made over multiple years, making it easier to reach your desired level of support while ensuring lasting benefits for our residents and programs.
If you’d like to discuss giving to Misericordia’s endowment, please contact Kevin Connelly at: kevin@misericordia.com, 773-273-4167
Foundations
Misericordia partners with more than 250 foundations each year, whose grants provide critical support for our programs, therapies, art and employment opportunities, and general operations. These gifts, whether unrestricted or directed to specific needs like equipment and construction, help us offer residents the highest quality of life possible. We welcome partnerships with private, family, corporate, and healthcare foundations as well as challenge and matching grant opportunities.

Employee Giving & Matching Gifts
Many employers make it easy to give through payroll deductions and matching gift programs. By checking with your workplace, you may be able to double or even triple the impact of your gift to Misericordia.

Corporate Sponsorship
Misericordia hosts major events throughout the year, offering corporations meaningful sponsorship opportunities that provide visibility and strengthen their community impact. Sponsoring an event not only enhances a company’s brand but also demonstrates its commitment to supporting people with developmental disabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Misericordia Foundation’s EIN?
EIN #23-728534
What is an MFA number / how do I designate my donation?
MFA number: MFA stands for Misericordia Family Association. Every Misericordia family is assigned an MFA number, which helps to simplify the accounting process of the MFA Treasurer and Misericordia Foundation. When donating on behalf of a specific resident, it is good practice to include their MFA number but is not required in order to make the donation.
You can designate or assign your donation in memory of someone, in honor of someone or to a specific event. Please enter in the information who or where you would like your donation assigned to in the text box named “Donation Designation”on the donation page/form.
